Technician

PRIMARY LOCATION: VANDALIA, IL
REPORTS TO: SERVICE MANAGER


RESPONSIBILITIES
• Repairs equipment
• Diagnoses equipment problems and determines repairs needed
• Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations
• Performs daily safety and maintenance checks

EXPERIENCE
• Hands on mechanical experience repairing equipment such as tractors, combines, seeders, sprayers, harvesters, and balers
• Background working on equipment brands such as New Holland, CASE IH and John Deere
• Certification/licensing preferred,

KNOWLEDGE
• Agricultural and equipment safety
• Operation of agricultural equipment
• Equipment maintenance and storage procedures
• Workplace safety requirements and procedures
• Equipment cleaning standards and procedures

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Troubleshoot equipment to detect faults & malfunctions
• Determine extent of repair required
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective part
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance

Salesperson

PRIMARY LOCATION: VANDALIA, IL


JOB DESCRIPTION

Our growing 5 store complex of agricultural equipment dealerships with a diverse product line is seeking a sales professional at our Vandalia IL location. This individual will sell equipment, products and services related to farming and agriculture in a rural market. The ideal candidate will have experience in the agriculture equipment industry, other agricultural business or utilize a strong agricultural background for this sales position. Must be self-motivated and have a good attitude, strong work ethic, excellent problem solving skills, on the farm selling skills and be willing to learn. Midwest Tractor Sales seeks a sales consultant that can build relationships and turn them into results. This position offers a base salary with unlimited commission potential, an extensive benefit package, company vehicle, paid training and a flexible schedule.


JOB DUTIES

• Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers.
• Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership.
• Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly.
• Conducts equipment field demonstrations.
• Monitors trends in customer's business activities and communicates timely to management.
• Maintains current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
• Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
• Attends applicable sales training events/seminars
• Can learn and follow a defined sales process; and uses company provided systems/tools to fully document, track, record, follow-up and capture all related sales activity in a timely and accurate manner; maintains a manageable strategic key customer list
• Develop sales contracts and complete paperwork within assigned guidelines
• Provide customers with information on the estimated delivery schedule, contracts, warranty, and or other information related to their purchases
• And any other duties as assigned by management.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 1-2 years agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment sales experience preferred.
• Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Excellent customer relationship skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.
• Must be willing to travel to customer locations regularly
• Must be self-motivated, customer friendly, willing to learn, confident, flexible and hard working
