MTS in Sparta is searching for a new team member for our Ag and Construction Equipment Sales Staff. No previous sales experience necessary, we can provide training for the right person. Qualified applicants will posses a strong work ethic, good attitude and a willingness to learn and grow. A general knowledge or background of Ag equipment is preferred. Must be able to work independently, have good time management skills, and be able to make on the phone and in person sales calls to potential and current customers. Basic computer, email and phone skills also valid drivers license and a clean driving record will be required. This position would be responsible for items such as, but not limited to, looking up, ordering and selling parts to customers and our service department. Previous parts, service or ag/ce experience preferred but not required. Competitive pay and benefits available to the right candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Repairs equipment
• Diagnoses equipment problems and determines repairs needed
• Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations
• Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
EXPERIENCE
• Hands on mechanical experience repairing equipment such as tractors, combines, seeders, sprayers, harvesters, and balers
• Background working on equipment brands such as New Holland, CASE IH and John Deere
• Certification/licensing preferred, qualifications are transferable to Canada.
KNOWLEDGE
• Agricultural and equipment safety
• Operation of agricultural equipment
• Equipment maintenance and storage procedures
• Workplace safety requirements and procedures
• Equipment cleaning standards and procedures
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Troubleshoot equipment to detect faults & malfunctions
• Determine extent of repair required
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
• Service attachments and working tools
• Analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
• Effective verbal and listening communications skills
• Keep daily records of reports and documentation
